Hi! I’ve been crocheting since November of 2019. I pretty quickly found that I enjoyed the process of designing and creating my own crochet patterns, specifically for amigurumi, and wanted to share that information with others! You can find video tutorials on my YouTube channel, and written patterns both here and on my Ravelry.
My main focus is definitely in amigurumi and the more sculptural or 3D side of crochet. I did get a mechanical engineering degree, if that tells you anything about how my brain works, so the problem solving, prototyping, and struggle of creating weird shapes with crochet is something I very much enjoy.
I also like looking into alternative techniques for other aspects of crochet, mostly in tapestry so far! I personally LOVE a tapestry, I think they’re so fun and I think everyone should try them at least once.
During my time at college, I found myself teaching other people how to crochet, or how to use different crochet techniques. I’ve always wanted to help others learn to crochet, and share any weird or niche crochet techniques I’ve come across, so that is definitely one of the goals of my site and YouTube channel! Whether you’re just starting out, or you’ve been crocheting for years, hopefully there’s a new technique that inspires you to try something new and maybe come up with new techniques of your own! I want this site to be a sort of archive or database so if people find themselves struggling to create a shape they need, hopefully they can find some help here!
